YOU ARE THE MUSIC-MAKERS.

The ‘Collective’ is building a community for artists and musicians to unleash their creativity, collaborate, and create earning opportunities in a sustainable way.

How can you build a community that fosters growth and sparks new earning opportunities in music? Collaboration and marketing skills, as much as your talent and music-making skills are what will set you apart from other creators.

Hello,  I’m Ian…

Musician &  Producer

After graduating from Thames Valley University London, UK, with a degree in Contemporary Music Performance, I flung myself into the thriving London music scene, playing in a number of bands.

We gigged in many places and wrote many songs but made very little progress. We had no plan or strategy in place.

I thought: How does a band or artist grow a fanbase? And how do we develop our songs to get heard?

I joined a new band and together, we developed a solid plan and process that helped us record our music professionally – and get it SEEN by the RIGHT audience,  managers, and agents.

In the end, we were signed by an Indie label recorded an album and played at music venues and outdoor festivals all around Europe.

That whole experience taught me that if you want people to listen to your music and start making money, you’ve got to start showing up…consistently.

You’ve got to have a) good, professionally recorded songs, b) a marketing plan in place to get those songs noticed, and c) a focus to grow your audience. I also learned to collaborate and keep opportunities open for my songs. It opened the door to having my music played in sync placements and commercials such as Nokia, Coca-Cola, and Channel 5.

In 2021, I started the Music Incubator for songwriters and musicians to show that it’s easier and more cost-effective than ever to record songs with professional musicians and to grow your audience, even if you’re starting from scratch.
